About Badalona
Badalona is a large coastal city immediately north-east of Barcelona, where the Besòs river marks the boundary between the two. It is the gateway to the Maresme coast, with a long seafront of beaches and promenades on one side and the wooded Serralada de Marina hills on the other. Roman remains from the ancient town of Baetulo, a lively port area and a sizeable old centre give it a strong identity of its own.
